Qalbī ʿalā bābik sujud
My heart prostrates at Your doorstep,
Yudūk, Yā Allāh
calling to You, O Allah!
Mālī anā ghayruk aḥad
I have no one else but You,
Ad’ūhu watarjāh
to invoke and implore.
Qalbī anā kullamā ibta’d
Whenever my heart strays away,
Dhāq al-‘alam wal-āh
it tastes pain and suffering.
Yatlubuka yā Rabb al-Madd
It asks for Your help,
Allāh, Yā Allāh
Allah, O Allah!
Rabī uhibbuka l-il-abad
I will love You forever, my Lord.
Lawlāk qalbī tāh
If it were not for You, my heart would have been lost.
Dūman ʿalayk al-mu’tamad
My reliance is always on You,
Fī kulli mā alqāh
in everything that I face.
Dūm’ī ʿalā khadī wurd
My tears flow down my cheeks,
Yā khāliqī raḥmāk
O my Creator! Have mercy on me.
Anta al-mu’īn, Anta as-sand
You’re the one I seek help from and the one I rely on,
Anā man anā lawlāk
Who would I be without You?
